The Belvedere

Sonnenberg_BelvedereThis columned, red-roofed structure divides the Italian Garden and Rose Garden. In past years, the Belvedere was used as a venue for small wedding ceremonies, wedding photo shoots, staging for special events and provided a relaxing overview of the two gardens for visitors. However, years of water damage have weakened the foundation and currently prevent any public access.

Restoration of the Belvedere has been made possible through approximately $105,000 in private donations toward the work, plus additional special allocations from the National Heritage Trust. This project is running concurrent to portions of the work on the Mansion veranda.
