The Pansy Garden

“The highest compliment payable to a flower is a garden wholly devoted to it.” Mrs. Thompson does nothing in halves. Likewise pansies, she devoted a whole garden to the beautiful but erratic flower. Behind the marble summerhouse is another garden room, the Pansy Garden. This garden was designed to showcase Mrs. Thompson’s favorite flower, the pansy. A total of thirteen pansy beds were historically scattered across the garden’s grass floor. These beds were planted both in solid masses of colors and in mixed color patterns.
